Passover Apple Cake

Berta's Recipe

3 eggs
¾ cup sugar
1/3 cup oil
¾ cup cake meal
5 apples, peeled and sliced
topping—mix to combine:
1/3 cup chopped walnuts
½ cup sugar (or less)
2 tsp cinnamon

1.  Beat eggs with sugar and oil. Add cake meal and mix well.
2.  Pour half batter into greased 8 or 9 inch square pan. Layer with apples, batter, then apples on top.
3.  Sprinkle topping on top.
4.  Bake at 350° for 1 ½ hours.
